This might be the first question to cross your mind when thinking about taking up vaping or switching from smoking cigarettes to vaping.
When you look at a bottle of e-liquid you will notice that it has what may look like random numbers and letters on it – for example, vg/pg.
PG (or Propylene Glycol) is the main liquid part of the e-liquid and contains all the flavour of the e-liquid and also the nicotine.
VG (or Vegetable Glycerine or Glycerol) is the part of the e-liquid that makes the e-liquid produce vapour or the ‘cloud’. If you want more cloud you will need to have a higher VG concentration in your e-liquid. But mind what device you use – it will very much depend on how much ‘VG’ you have in your liquid.
Water – some e-liquids have water in them to help with the texture of the liquid and also the thickness of it.
Flavourings – this is the taste that you get when vaping and will very much affect how much you’ll enjoy vaping.
Nicotine – take your pick, we have from 0mg, i.e. the e-liquid has no nicotine, right up to 18mg (18 milligram of nicotine per milliliter of liquid). The just all depends on you and how much you want in your e-liquid.
50vg/50pg – use with a regular vaporiser including pod devices
85vg/15pg – use with sub ohm kits
70vg/30pg – use with sub ohm kits
Please check the coil resistance to ensure you don’t get any leaks from your device.
Liquids are for use in open system vape kits, not closed.

Free-based nicotine is the purest form of nicotine and most commonly used in e-liquids. It is made by adding ammonia to pure nicotine. Free-based nicotine e-liquids are suitable for mod or sub-ohm devices, for people looking for a more advanced vaping experience.
Salt-based nicotine, also known as nicotine salts or nic salts, is the natural state of nicotine found in tobacco leaves. It means that you will have already experienced them if you have smoked a cigarette. It can make vaping higher nicotine levels feel more like smoking traditional cigarettes. Generally smokers need to vape less salt-based nicotine e-liquids than free-based nicotine because of the speed that nicotine can be absorbed into the blood stream. Nic Salts usually comes in higher concentrations, with more nicotine in the liquid than free-based nicotine.
There are two ways to vape, mouth to lung (MTL) and direct to lung (DTL) vaping. The difference between the two is that mouth to lung (MTL) is more for beginners as it is more like the way people smoke a cigarette; inhaling the vapour from the e-cigarette into your mouth and then into your lungs. Direct to lung (DTL) is more for the ‘cloud chasers’, people who like the more dramatic, bigger clouds of smoke or vapour. This method is more like breathing air normally, you suck the vapour straight into your lungs.
Vape kits that you will need for MTL vaping require coils; this is the atomiser element that vapourises the e-liquid. This resistance is measured in ohms and usually with these devices the coils have a resistance of 1 ohm or more. The vape kits that you will need for DTL need coils with a resistance of under 1 ohm. This allows the coil to heat the e-liquid at a higher temperature and this is what creates bigger and thicker clouds of smoke.

NVee Devices FAQs
Regular maintenance is key to ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of your vape kit. This includes cleaning your tank periodically, replacing coils or pods as their performance drops (often indicated by a burnt taste or reduced vapor production), and keeping the device’s firmware updated if applicable. Detailed maintenance instructions specific to your device should be outlined in the user manual.
By following these general guidelines, you can enjoy a satisfying vaping experience while ensuring the durability and performance of your vape kit.
To clean your vape kit, start by disassembling the device. Clean the tank with warm water (and mild detergent if necessary), thoroughly rinse, and let it dry completely before reassembling. The exterior of the device and the mouthpiece can be wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid getting water or cleaning solutions on the battery and electrical components. Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your vape kit.
Remember, the specific features, capabilities, and maintenance requirements can vary significantly between different vape kits, so it’s important to consult the user manual for device-specific instructions and recommendations.
